1. Rearrange the terms 5.2x + 6.78 = -36.9.
2. Subtract 6.78 from both sides
3. Simplify the expression 5.2x = -43.68
4. Divide both sides by the same factor 5.2x/5.2 = -43.68/5.3
6. Simplify cancel the terms in the numerator and the denominator then divide the numbers
X = -8.4
Tell me if this is wrong and I’ll fix it.
