x= -1

Explanation:

x+7/3=2

a) solve for x by multiplying 3 on each side of = sign.

3(x+7/3)=2(3)

note: it’s difficult to see how this looks but the denominator 3 is canceled out when we multiply the numerator by 3 (x+7/3)

b) we have x+7=6

-7 from the 7 and 6 (both values on each side of = sign) to separate the x

c) that would mean X = -1

Answer: x= -1

Explanation:

x+ 7/3=2

cancel out the 3 ::: x+ 7/3 (3) = 2 (3)

cancel out the 7 ::: x+7 (-7)=6

x= 6-7

x= -1
