The difference between civic duties and civic responsibilities, is one is mandatory, and the other is respected but not necessary.

Example of civic duties:

1. Paying taxes

2. Following the law (or face the consequences of jail time)

3. Going to school (K-12)

Example of civic responsibilities:

1. Going to college

2. Voting

3. Running for office

Hellooo! Marie Here!!

  • Civic responsibility is like something that you do as a citizen. This can include volunteering, or help other citizens.
  • Civic duty is something that each person should give their state/Country, like in the democratic process kind of like voting.

Hope This Helps! Have A GREATT Day!
