Answer: The minimum of the function g(x) is at (-2,3)

Explanation:

When we are looking for a minimum we can convert the standard equation (
ax^(2) +bx+c)into vertex(
a(x-h)^(2) +k) for to find where our h,k point is (starting point) which is going to be our minimum/maximum.

Once we find our h,k we know that if our a value is positive we will have a minimum and if our a value is negative we will have a maximum.

To convert from standard to vertex form

  1. Move c value to side with g(x)
  2. Divide both sides of the equation by a value
  3. Add b/2 to both sides of the equation
  4. Factor side with the x²
  5. Combine like terms
  6. Isolate g(x)
