2/7 of 280=
A seventh of the book = 280/7=40
2 of those = 40x2=80
Read 80 pages yesterday
1/4 of 280=
A fourth of the book = 280/4=70
Read 70 pages today
80+70=150
150 pages

Explanation:
280 pages * ( 2/7 + 1/4 ) = 280 ( 15/28) = 150 pages read
