3(x-2)+6=5(x+4), x=-10 because 3(-10-2)+6=5(-10+4), 3(-12)+6=5(-6), -36+6=-30, -30=-30 so x=-10

Answer:

3(x-2) + 6 = 5(x + 4)

3x-6+6 = 5x+20

3x=5x+20

3x-5x=20

-2x=20

x =-20/2 =-10
