Easy just distribute, x² + 2x + 5 - 1 ( -2x² + 6 ) is equal to x² + 2x + 5 + 2x² - 6 Then you subtract, take x² + 2x + 5 + 2x² - 6 then that would be

x² + 2x - 1 + 2x². Then Combine the terms, x² + 2x - 1 + 2x² would equal

3x² + 2x - 1. So there is your answer! Hope that helps!
