Answer: 40% increase

Formula we use here is:
\frac{(\text{Final}-\text{Start})}{|\text{Start}|} * 100

Starting Value = 15

Final Value = 21

Insert values into formula:


= ((21 - 15))/(|15|) * 100

Subtract 21 and 15. Because they are in brackets, and anything in brackets must be done first according to BIDMAS or BODMAS.


= (6)/(15) * 100

6 divided by 15 = 0.4

0.4 is your increase.

Multiplying it by 100 makes it into a percentage.


= 0.4 * 100

= 40%
