In your own words, explain the role of the digestive, endocrine, and excretory systems in maintaining homeostasis.

The absorption of nutrients in the small intestine is controlled by the digestive system. Excess nutrients are filtered out from kidney into urine through the excretory system. However, both these processes are regulated by the endocrine system.
