A box is sitting on a table being pushed right by a person with 4 force vectors acting on it. The force up is labeled F Subscript N Baseline = 12 N. The force down is labeled F Subscript g Baseline = 12 N. The force left is labeled F Subscript f Baseline = 3 N. The force right is labeled F Subscript p Baseline = 15 N. What is the magnitude and direction (right or left) of the net force acting on the box? N to the

Answer:

12N to the right

Step-by-step explanation:

I'm guessing about the context because there is no picture, but it should still be right even if my context is wrong.

The force going down is the force of gravity acting on the box, and the F sub n is the normal force opposing it, so there cancel out and dont matter for the net force.

The F sub p is a pushing force going to the right, and F sub f is the friction force opposing it. Because 15 is more than 3, the net force is going in the direction of F sub p with a force of (15-3).

In a little bit of a more mathy way.

Fy=12+(-12)=0

Fx=15+(-3)=12

with positive being up and to the right.
