A lens of glass disappears when put inside a liquid. Why?

A lens placed in a transparent liquid becomes invisible because the lens is equal to the change of direction (sound wave.) No light takes place when it goes through liquid to the lens, so this is why the lens becomes invisible when put in a glass cup of water.
