Explanation:

3 dozen cookies are 3x12= 36 cookies

10 dozen cookies are 10x12= 120 cookies

36 cookies->1/2 cup of butter

1 cookie-> 1/2 ÷ 36

=1/72

1 cookie needs 1/72 cup of butter.

120 cookies->1/72 x 120

=1 2/3

1 2/3 cups of butter are needed
