What was probably the prevailing opinion of indians about british rule

Most likely, the Native Americans didn't see the British in a very good light. When the British came to the Americas, their manner towards the Indians wasn't very kind. They were cruel to them and tried forcing them to convert to christianity.

So, your answer is probably going to be that the Indians had some pretty strong opinions of the British, none of them good.
