An observer is 100 feet from the top of a cilff and 50 feet from the base of the cilif. Find the angle of elevation from the observer to the top of the cilfi, to the nearest degree.

tan(-1) =100/50
=63.4 degrees

Answer: 63.4 degrees


Angle of elevation is from the bottom to the top always!
