PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!

I have a four-minute egg timer and a seven-minute egg timer - the kind you turn over and let the sand run through. Can I use these to cook a nine-minute
egg (only cooking the egg for nine minutes) If so, how long will someone have to wait for their egg?

Answer:

Yes, you can use the four-minute and seven-minute egg timers to cook a nine-minute egg. Here's how you can do it:

Start both egg timers at the same time.

When the four-minute timer runs out, turn it over to start it again.

When the seven-minute timer runs out, turn it over to start it again.

When the four-minute timer runs out for the second time (after a total of 8 minutes), you have a cooked egg. At this point, the seven-minute timer still has 1 minute left before it runs out.

So, someone will have to wait for 1 more minute for their egg to be cooked properly, making the total cooking time 9 minutes.
