Businesses can buy multiple licenses for a data-compression software at a total cost of approximately C(x) = 84x2/3 dollars for x licenses. Use a calculator to find the actual cost of the 64th license by evaluating C(64) − C(63) for the cost function. (Round your answer to two decimal places.)

Answer:14.04

Explanation:

when x=64 then the equation goes 84·64^(2/3) which is equal to 1344

so C(64)=1344

when x=63 then the equation goes 84·63*(2/3) which is equal to 1329.96

so C(63)=1329.96

therefore 1344-1329.96=14.04
