→ 42 + 5t = 8t

→ 8t - 5t = 42 ( 5t and 8t are like terms so we can bring them both to same side and substract )

( + 5t went to other side because 8t and 5t are like terms and we can add or substract them.... so when + 5t went to other side it became -5t)

→ 8t - 5t = 3t

→ 3t = 42

→ t = 42/3

→ t = 14
