Camilla is helping her parents choose a company to install a fence in their yard. The first company she contacts charges $20 per foot of fence, plus a $210 installation fee. The second company charges $27.50 per foot of fence, with no installation fee. How long would the fence need to be so that the total cost is the same for either company? Simplify any fractions.

Answer:28ft

Explanation:

20x+210=27.5x

-20x -20x

210=7.5x

210/7.5=7.5/7.5x

28=x

In order to buy from either company at the same price at a point, they would both have to buy 28 feet.
