A storage unit is in the shape of a rectangular prism has a volume of 5440 cubic feet. The length of the storage is 4 feet more than three times the width w, and the height is 6 feet more than the width. Find the equation, in terms of w, that could be used to find the dimensions of the storage unit in feet. Your answer should be in the form of a polynomial equals a constant.

Answer:

3w³ + 22w² + 24w = 5440

Explanation:

let width = w

length = 3w + 4

height = w + 6

The volume of a rectangular prism is

V = LWH

5440 = (3w+4)(w)(w+6)

5440 = 3w³ + 22w² + 24w
