the x coordinate always comes first and the y coordinate comes second

the first point (2,5) is x coordinate 2, and y coordinate 5

so
`x_(1)` = 2 and
`y_(1)` = 5

the second point (3,-3) is x=3, and y=-3

so
`x_(2)` = 3 and
`y_(2)` = -3

now just put this into the formula

(-3-5)/(3-2)

=-8/1

=-8
