median = 32.5

the median is the 'middle' value of the data set arranged in ascending order ( smallest to largest )

If there is no exact middle value then it is the average of the values either side of the ' middle'

14 , 18 , 31 , 34 , 44 , 50

↑ middle is between 31 and 34

median = (31 + 34) ÷ 2 = 65 ÷ 2 = 32.5
