Gang violence is a term that refers to criminal and non-political acts of violence committed by a group of people against innocent people. Gang violence can also refer to physical hostile interactions between two or more gangs.

Gang violence can include: Drug distribution, Robbery, R*pe, Homicide.

Gang violence can affect many innocent lives. Gangs can be a bad influence on children and teens, who may think joining a gang is cool. Gang violence can include dangerous activities like k!lling, fighting, robbing, gun violence, and tagging.

Some reasons why kids join gangs include:

Unstable or broken home

Economic instability

Low education attainment and expectations

Family members in a gang

Neglect by one or both parents

Violence in the home or in the community, directed at the child

Alcoholism and or drug abuse by one or both of the parents

According to the FBI, there are approximately 33,000 violent street gangs, motorcycle gangs, and prison gangs that are criminally active in the U.S.. 86% of U.S. cities with a population of 100,000 or more report gang activity.
