Answer: A. Type I error.

The alpha value, aka level of significance, is the probability threshold of committing a type I error. This error happens when we reject the null but the null was correct all along.

The greek letter alpha symbol is
\alpha

The alpha value would be stated in the instructions or mentioned by your teacher. If not then the standard default is alpha = 0.05
