Subtract 4 from both sides
-3x+4-4=5-4
Simplify -3x=1
-3/-3 = 1/3
X= -1/3

-3x + 4 = 5 // subtract 4 on both sides
-3x = 1 // divide both sides by -3
x = -1/3
the answer is -1/3
