Not sure if there’s a word bank, but “exothermic” should work (or possibly “phase” but very loosely).

When matter changes from a less ordered state (with molecules more spread out) to a more ordered state, the process releases energy. Transitions from a liquid to solid, gas to liquid, or gas to solid will release energy. Freezing, condensation, and deposition are these exothermic processes. Conversely, fusion, vaporization, and sublimation are endothermic processes.
