I suppose we are looking for the value of x which finds the equality? it would be nice to put the question

-2x+x=7-1

Answer: x = -6

1. Make “x” to the left side, and numbers to the right side without forgetting to change the sign:

-2x + 1 = -x + 7
-2x + x = 7 - 1
-x = 6

2. Multiply both sides by -1 (number of x), to get the answer:

-x = 6 |*(-1)
x = -6

Proof:
(-2) * (-6) + 1 = -(-6) + 7 =
12 + 1 = 6 + 7
13 = 13, so answer is right.
