Bell cricket and the grass hopper Directions: Explain which summary is written the best and explain why based on the information

provided in the summary.
Summary 2 The narrator is walking on the roof of a high school and sees some kids looking for
insects with their amazing lanterns that they made or got from the store. According to the text, it
states "Walking along the tile-roofed wall of the university, I turned and approached the upper
I school. Without going any farther, I knew that it was a group of children on an insect chase
among the bushes of the embankment. The narrator observed one boy who claims to have
found a grasshopper. He gets excited and asks the other children who wants the grasshopper.
The passage states "Does anyone want a grasshopper?" Yes! Give it to me! Six or seven
children came running up." He ignores the children that come up and continue to ask if anyone
wants a grasshopper. A young lady named Kiyoko came for it and he reached into the bush and
grabbed hold on to it. When he pulls it out and offers it to the girl, she states that it is a bell
cricket. When they both lean closer to look at it with their lanterns, the boy's name, which is part
of the stencil on the lantern is projected onto the girl's breast while the girr;s name which is part
of the stencil of her lantern is projected onto the boy's wrist. The narrator observes this instance
and muses on the nature of their future relationships and the ideas around meeting
grasshoppers who are really bell crickets and vice versa.
