Answer: (m - n)(2h +3k)

Explanation:

To factor this expression by grouping, we will break the terms into groups. We must end up with two groups of the same term being multiped by something different. You will see below.

I see a common variable (m) in the first two and a common variable (n) in the second two. I also see that the second two terms are negative while the first two terms are positive, so I will take out a -n of the second two terms.

Given:

2mh + 3mk - 2nh - 3nk

Regroup:

m(2h + 3k) - n(2h + 3k)

Factored:

(m - n)(2h +3 k)

You can see we end up with (2h +3k) multiplied by both m and -n in the middle step, this is exactly what we needed.
