Answer: You are doing it correctly

Explanation:

We are given that he is able to run
(9)/(10) of a mile in 5 minutes. Knowing that his rate is the same throughout, at one minute, he runs 5 times slower than normal, which is
(1)/(5) of his speed.

To find his speed in 1 minute, just divide
(9)/(10) by 5 (like you did) or multiply it by
(1)/(5). Either way you should get 0.18, or
(9)/(50).
