Liam is the youngest of three brothers who were born at two year intervals. The product of the ages of the two younger brothers is 52 less than the product of the ages of the two older brothers. Calculate the ages of the three brothers.​

Let's assume x the age of the youngest brother,

x+2, x+4 the age of the other brothers.

Because "The product of the ages of the two younger brothers is 52 less than the product of the ages of the two older brothers",

x*(x+2)+52=(x+2)*(x+4)

We develop:

x²+2x+52=x²+6x+8

Reducing

52-8=6x-2x

4x=44

x=11

The age of the brothers are 11,13,15 .
