One step equations is just like the name, one step. So you should only have to do one thing for every problem here.
You will be solving for the variables, so to do that, you will have to isolate them on one side.
5x = 35
Divide 5 to both sides:
x = 7
w - 5 = 14
Add 5 to both sides:
w = 19
a/2 = 10
Multiply 2 to both sides:
a = 20
