Answer:

x = 8-8√(2) cm

Explanation:

Let Side of Square A = a
Side of Square B = b

Given that,
area square B = 32 sq.cm
area of square =
(side)^2
∴ For Square B ⇒
(b)^2 = 32\\

b = √(32)\\\\b = 2√(8) cm

Now,

Side of Square A ⇒ a = Side of Square B + x
⇒ a = b + x
and we know that
b = 2√(8) cm

a= 2√(8) + x cm

It is also given that,
a + b = 8

8 = 2√(8) + x + 2√(8)

8 = 4√(8) + x

x =
8 - 4√(8) ( which can also be written as) ⇒
8-8√(2)

Thank You :)
