C. Rebel
A "rebel" is an individual who rises in opposition to political or established governmental forces. This term is commonly used to describe someone who challenges or resists authority or existing norms in a defiant manner. Transcendentalist, on the other hand, refers to a philosophical movement rather than someone who opposes governmental forces. Outcast and resister are not directly related to opposing political or governmental forces.
