Why were the 1300s the worst century in history ?

There was a plague, the Great Flood and the Great Famine. It was raining a lot even during summer and since there was rain, the winters were extremely cold and people died terribly. Due to the climate change, there were shortages of food and people died to starvation which caused the Great Famine.
