Plate boundaries is the border between two plates. These two plates are constantly slowly moving in many directions. Some move apart from each other, some move towards each other, and others grind/slide against each other. As these plates move, they sometimes get stuck and pressure builds up. When the pressure gets too much and breaks lose, it is called an earthquake.
