Read the excerpt from "Ring Out, Wild Bells" by Alfred,

Lord Tennyson.
Ring out old shapes of foul disease;
Ring out the narrowing lust of gold;
Ring out the thousand wars of old,
Ring in the thousand years of peace.
What idea does the repetition in the excerpt convey?
O how many bells are ringing
O how many years are passing
O the speaker's optimistic hope for change
O the speaker's joyous view of the world

the speakers optimistic hope for change.

the speaker wants the disease, lust for money, and war in the past and present to go away so that there can be peace. this is because the speaker doesnt see the world as joyus. (D is out) A is obviously not right. which leaves b and c
