We see that this figure is a combination of 2 boxes,

one below and one on top.

Now,

for the one below,

we have a length = l = 13 mm, width = w = 3 mm, height = h = 4 mm

So,the volume is,

V = (length)(width)(height)

VB = (13)(3)(4)

VB stands for Volume of bottom box

VB = 156 mm^3

For VT

VT stands for Volume of top box

length = 6 mm , width = 3 mm, height = 5 - 4 = 1 mm

VT = (6)(3)(1)

VT = 18 mm^3

Now, the total volume of the figure is the sum of these two volumes, so we have,

V = VB + VT

V = 156 + 18

V = 174 mm^3
