A woman can bicycle 104 miles in the same time as it takes her to walk 24 miles. She can ride 10 mph faster than she can walk. How fast can she walk?

distance = speed × time

Bicycle:

Walking:

24 = rt

104 = rt + 10t

rt = 24

104 = 24 + 10t

80 = 10t

t = 24/r

80 = 10 × 24/r

80 = 240/r
