Answer and Explanation:
Osmoregulation is a homeostatic process that controls the amount of water in body fluids. It regulates the osmotic pressure of fluids and electrolytic balance in organisms. In normal conditions, the amount of water gained balances with the amount lost. If conditions change, osmoregulation brings the volumes back into balance. Osmoregulation is brought about by osmoreceptors, which can detect changes in osmotic pressure. Humans and most other warm-blooded organisms have osmoreceptors in the hypothalamus.
