1: A rectangle and a square have the same perimeter. If the length of a side of the square is 8cm and the length of the side of the rectangle is 6cm, what is the length of the other side of the rectangle? 2: The perimeter of a rectangle is 28cm. Find it's greatest possible area​

Answer:

perimeter squae : 8×4 =32cm

perimeter rectangle : 32cm

length of the other side : (32-2×6)/2 = 10cm

perimeter rectangle = 2(L+l)

perimeter = 28cm

the rectangle with the largest area is a square

side of square = 28/4= 7cm

square area = side×side = side²

greatest possible area​ = 7²=49cm²
