Let the present age of the son be x years.

Then, the present age of the father is 6x years.

Four years hence, the age of the father will be 6x + 4 years.

Four years hence, the age of the son will be x + 4 years.

It is given that four years hence, the age of the father will be four times his son's age.

Therefore,

6x + 4 = 4(x + 4)

6x + 4 = 4x + 16

2x = 12

x = 6

Therefore, the present ages of the son and the father are 6 years and 36 years respectively.

So the answer is (6, 36)
