Hey, the answer is 5/8. You just add 1/2 and 1/8, however, since they don’t have the same denominator you can’t add them right away. You’ll have to multiply by the other fraction’s denominator, e.g. 1/2 by 8 and 1/8 by 2. This will get you to 10/16. And this can be simplified by dividing by 2, which is 5/8.
