If the parent function f(x) =|x| is transformed to h(x)=|x|+2 what transformation occurs from f(x) to h(x)? How are the vertex and range of u(x) affected?

The transformation is shift 2 units up

This will add 2 to each y output in the range.

The old range was
\text{y} \ge 0 and it updates to
\text{y} \ge 2

The graph is shown below. I used GeoGebra, but Desmos is another good option.
