The plant is the producer and is therefore at the bottom of the food chain. The lizard eats the plant and so is the primary consumer. The snake eats the lizard meaning it is the secondary consumer. The owl eats the snake so it’s called the tertiary consumer. The jaguar eats the owl and is therefore at the top of the food chain, making it the top/ alpha predator.
