1. Color the map of Germany in 1961, using the map in the reading selection.

Red for the COMMUNIST side of Germany

Blue for the DEMOCRATIC side of Germany

Yellow for the Berlin Wall

Left side (West Berlin) is blue. Right side (East Berlin) is red. The Berlin Wall will follow the bold line outlining West Berlin in the pic. I don't know if your teacher wants you to shade the area of East Germany outside of Berlin, but it would also be all red.
