6 crates=?

=6*8

=48 apples

15 crates=15*8

=120

Now,

read carefully what question says,

(ratio, the number of apple in six crates ((to)) the total number of apples)

So,

=40/120

=4/12

=2/6

=1/3answer

so 1:3 is the answer
