Answer:

the polypeptide has 50 amino acids, then it's cistron will have atleast 51 codons( 50 codons for amino acids and 1 codon is to stop codon). Each codon is a triplet so for 50 amino acids, the minimum length of cistron will be 51×3= 153 bp(base pairs)
