SolutioN:-

Using Phythagoras Theorem:-

\sf \hookrightarrow \: {(AC)}^(2) = {(AB)}^(2) +{(BC)}^(2)

\sf \hookrightarrow \: {(x)}^(2) = {(7)}^(2) +{(12)}^(2)

\sf \hookrightarrow \: {(x)}^(2) = 49 +{(12)}^(2)

\sf \hookrightarrow \: {(x)}^(2) = 49 +144

\sf \hookrightarrow \: {(x)}^(2) = 193

\sf \hookrightarrow \: x= √(193)

\sf \hookrightarrow \: x= 13.89

Answer: 13.9

Work Shown:

a^2+b^2 = c^2\\\\c = √(a^2+b^2) \\\\\text{x} = √(7^2+12^2) \\\\\text{x} = √(193) \\\\\text{x} \approx 13.892444 \\\\\text{x} \approx 13.9 \\\\
