Answer:

Homeostasis regulates your body. When you are too hot, your body produces sweat to cool you down. When you're cold, you muscles shiver to generate warmth. When you have high glucose levels in your blood, your pancreas excretes insulin, and when blood glucose is too low, then it excretes glycogen. Homeostasis basically keeps your body from losing control and it helps you survive.

Homeostasis is how an organism or cell maintains a stable internal environment despite external conditions. It’s important to the body because without it, organism’s wouldn’t be able to regulate bodily systems and as a result, wouldn’t survive.
