Why a person with blood group AB are referred to a universal donors

People with blood type AB aren’t universal donors, but they are universal recipients. They can receive blood type A and B because it’s an antibody in the AB antigen, AB because all blood types can give to their very same blood type, and O because it’s the universal donor. (Blood type O has no antibodies, so it can be given to any blood type.)
